The H.O.P.E. Mentoring Program
Since its founding in 1998, the Duffy’s Hope H.O.P.E. (Helping Our young People to Excel) Mentoring Program has been the pillar of our service delivery. Through this program, mentees gather on a monthly basis for enrichment sessions which run the gamut from field trips, to study sessions to health awareness and safety workshops. Additionally, the entire Duffy’s Hope ‘family’ gathers twice a year for large-scale community service projects.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware Partnership
Duffy’s Hope, Inc. have had the privilege to be recognized by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware as a program of excellence in Delaware. As an affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the H.O.P.E. mentoring program is held to the same standard of excellence in mentorship. From the point of the match, mentors and mentees will be included as Duffy’s Hope, Inc. members as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters members. This increases activities and wonderful opportunities for all members.

Athletic Program
Duffy’s Hope, Inc. believes that involvement in organized team sports provides meaningful, healthy, and safe out-of-school activities for youth. Youth’s participation provides wonderful incentives for academic performance, development of a good work ethic, and allows for positive social involvement with peers.
To this end, Duffy’s Hope, Inc. hosts an annual boy’s basketball league. The league operates from June through August and is open to all boys’ ages 14 to 18 years old. Duffy’s Hope, Inc. emphasizes good coaching and mentoring as key components to its teams’ successes.
